The Tallest Man On Earth - A Lion’s Heart
This song reminds me of the days I would arrive to school about 45 minutes early to park a couple miles off campus during my senior year. I was so utterly broke, managing to save $7 a day for every time I chose to walk into campus.
I remember, at first, wondering if it were worth it: dodging a six lane highway of traffic and numerous sketchy situations I found myself wandering past. Then, I decided that if I was going to walk to my classes thirty or more minutes away, I wouldn’t do it alone anymore. Every day I played The Tallest Man on Earth on my walks to and from my car feeling almost proud that I was smart to take a few more minutes out of my day so I didn’t have to take out more money to afford parking on campus. Not to mention, it was nice exercise, expecially when I was running late.
I’m perpetually late.
